Mahi means ‘The great; Earth-Goddess’. The school's founder Mahinder Parasad chose to name the school after the Motherland. An Earth Goddess is a Goddess who represents or embodies nature, motherhood, fertility, creation and destruction or the bounty of the Earth. Such goddesses are sometimes referred to as Mother Earth or as the Earth Mother.
The high-quality courses at Mahi Yoga are carefully thought out and embody the aspects of The Earth Goddess. Through our carefully created courses, we lead our students through their journey, guiding them to remove obstacles within and without, before planting the seeds of knowledge and yoga leading to the creation of confident and happy yoga aspirants.

Goa boasts a cultural blend of Portuguese and Sothern Indian heritage which dates back to its Portuguese colony era. There is an unusual mix of white ornate churches, colourful spice plantations and sweet traditional fishing villages. There is plenty to see if you are interested in history or art
