Kalari Kovilakom – The Palace for Ayurveda is a NABH-accredited Ayurveda hospital housed within a meticulously restored 200-year-old palace in Kollengode, Palakkad, Kerala. Developed by CGH Earth Ayurveda, the palace has been transformed into a dedicated centre for authentic Ayurvedic healing, where every aspect of daily life is guided by the principles of classical Ayurveda.
Unlike a conventional wellness resort, Kalari Kovilakom functions as a residential Ayurveda hospital. Every guest undergoes a detailed consultation with an experienced Ayurvedic physician, who evaluates their Prakriti (body constitution), Dosha imbalance, medical history, lifestyle, and health goals before creating a personalised treatment plan. Therapies, medicines, diet, yoga, meditation, and daily routines are prescribed individually, following classical Ayurvedic texts rather than standardized wellness packages.
Healing at Kalari Kovilakom extends beyond treatments. The palace follows a disciplined therapeutic lifestyle where physician-prescribed Sattvic meals, structured daily routines, yoga, meditation, and carefully monitored therapies work together to support detoxification, rejuvenation, disease management, and long-term health restoration. Guests are encouraged to disconnect from everyday distractions and immerse themselves fully in the healing process, allowing Ayurveda to work in its most authentic form.
The heritage palace offers 19 guest rooms, 12 dedicated treatment rooms, peaceful courtyards, landscaped gardens, and spaces designed to support recovery in a calm and nurturing environment. The palace is well connected via National Highway 544 and the state highway network, making travel by private car, taxi, or chauffeur-driven transfer convenient. Its peaceful countryside setting offers guests a secluded healing environment while remaining within comfortable driving distance of major transport hubs.- At Kalari Kovilakom, everyone is provided with three sets of complementary fine cotton Pyjama suits for their use. If you do not intend to travel elsewhere other than to Kalari Kovilakom, you need not carry many clothes, so pack light.
- Do carry a light shawl, scarf and cotton socks, as the evenings can get cold.
- Bring along a set of personal toiletries.
- Carry your medical reports and medications for prior consultation with the Doctor at Kalari Kovilakom.
- Kindly use non-leather footwear (closed and/or open) only. You may carry a pair of sunglasses and a hat, if required.
- As per Government Regulations, we request you to carry a valid Passport and Visa. Indian nationals can present any one of the following: Passport, Driving License, Voter ID or Aadhaar card
- To book a program, 50% advance payment must be received 60 days prior to arrival date or before the cut-off date mentioned by the central reservation system.
- For booking confirmation, 100% advance payment must be received 30 days prior to arrival or before the cut-off date mentioned by the central reservation system.
- 50% refund if cancelled 21 days before the arrival date. The balance amount will be retained for a future booking date valid until 6 months from the cancellation date.
- No refund if cancelled less than 20 days before the arrival date. The full amount will be retained for a future booking date valid until 6 months from the cancellation date.
- No refund of the retained amount post the 6 month validity period.
