About Kalari Kovilakom – The Palace for Ayurveda
Kalari Kovilakom – The Palace for Ayurveda is a NABH-accredited Ayurveda hospital housed within a meticulously restored 200-year-old palace in Kollengode, Palakkad, Kerala. Developed by CGH Earth Ayurveda, the palace has been transformed into a dedicated centre for authentic Ayurvedic healing, where every aspect of daily life is guided by the principles of classical Ayurveda.
Unlike a conventional wellness resort, Kalari Kovilakom functions as a residential Ayurveda hospital. Every guest undergoes a detailed consultation with an experienced Ayurvedic physician, who evaluates their Prakriti (body constitution), Dosha imbalance, medical history, lifestyle, and health goals before creating a personalised treatment plan. Therapies, medicines, diet, yoga, meditation, and daily routines are prescribed individually, following classical Ayurvedic texts rather than standardized wellness packages.
Healing at Kalari Kovilakom extends beyond treatments. The palace follows a disciplined therapeutic lifestyle where physician-prescribed Sattvic meals, structured daily routines, yoga, meditation, and carefully monitored therapies work together to support detoxification, rejuvenation, disease management, and long-term health restoration. Guests are encouraged to disconnect from everyday distractions and immerse themselves fully in the healing process, allowing Ayurveda to work in its most authentic form.
The heritage palace offers 19 guest rooms, 12 dedicated treatment rooms, peaceful courtyards, landscaped gardens, and spaces designed to support recovery in a calm and nurturing environment. Combining Kerala's royal heritage with one of the country's most authentic Ayurveda programs, Kalari Kovilakom offers an immersive healing experience where traditional wisdom, clinical expertise, and disciplined living come together to restore balance to the body, mind, and spirit.
