about center
Nestled in the tranquil hills of Panchalimedu, Idukki, Kerala, Prakriti Shakti is a specialized naturopathy and natural wellness retreat offering holistic programmes for health, lifestyle management and rejuvenation. Set at an altitude of around 2,500 feet and surrounded the picturesque hills of Panchalimedu, Kerala, Prakriti Shakti is a premier NABH-accredited naturopathy clinic that is dedicated to holistic healing and sustainable well-being.
Set amidst the pristine landscapes of the Western Ghats, the retreat takes a whole-person approach, addressing the underlying causes of health concerns rather than simply managing symptoms. Its drug-free and non-invasive naturopathic approach draws on the healing properties of nature – earth, water, fire, air and space – and integrates these with yoga therapy, energy medicine and personalized diet therapy to support the body's own restorative processes.
Whether you are looking for a naturopathy retreat in Kerala, a detox and rejuvenation programme, natural weight management, stress relief or a doctor-guided wellness programme, Prakriti Shakti offers a structured approach to health in one of Kerala's most serene mountain settings.
Mornings can begin with yoga and nature-based practices, while the day progresses through consultations, therapies, diet and periods of rest. Guests can spend time reading in the library, learning in the interactive kitchen or simply sitting amidst the greenery. The emphasis throughout is on slowing down, observing the body and developing a more conscious relationship with food, movement, rest and nature.
About the Center
Nestled amid the lush hills of Panchalimedu in Idukki, Kerala, Prakriti Shakti – Clinic of Natural Medicine by CGH Earth offers a holistic approach to healing through naturopathy, yoga, meditation, diet therapy and the therapeutic elements of nature. Located at around 2,500 feet above sea level, the retreat is surrounded by forests, fresh mountain air and panoramic views, providing a tranquil environment away from the pace and distractions of urban life.
With 19 well-appointed rooms, an infinity pool overlooking the Western Ghats and a personalized doctor-to-guest and therapist-to-guest approach, Prakriti Shakti combines clinical expertise with the comforts of a luxury retreat. Rather than simply addressing symptoms, Prakriti Shakti focuses on understanding and addressing the underlying causes of lifestyle-related health concerns. Its programmes combine naturopathic therapies with personalized diet, yoga and lifestyle guidance, helping guests develop healthier habits that can be carried into everyday life. The philosophy is rooted in the belief that nature itself can become an important part of the healing process.
The centre works with the Pancha Mahabhutas – the five great elements of nature – along with nutrition, fasting, yoga and meditation. Fresh air, sunlight, water, earth and the natural surroundings of Panchalimedu are integrated into the therapeutic experience, creating an environment designed to encourage physical, mental and emotional renewal. Guests are expected to follow the prescribed diet and yoga schedule. Tea, coffee, alcohol, cigarettes, outside food and non-vegetarian food are not permitted on the premises. The centre also recommends limiting the use of mobile phones and laptops to support a quieter environment.
Prakriti Shakti's structured, doctor-supervised naturopathy is best suited for guests over the age of 15 years.
Food
Food is an integral part of the Prakriti Shakti experience. Diet therapy is prescribed according to each guest's health condition and forms an important part of the naturopathic healing process. The centre follows a three-stage approach involving elimination, soothing and constructive diets, depending on the programme and medical requirements.
The resort is particularly known for its fireless raw-food kitchen, where ingredients are prepared without conventional cooking. Fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and other natural ingredients are transformed into creative dishes, including raw versions of the popular Kerala Sadya. The goal is not simply on eating raw food but on helping guests understand how food choices, preparation and mindful eating can become part of a healthier lifestyle.
Guests can take their learning home through the interactive kitchen, where the culinary team demonstrates how to prepare raw-food dishes, smoothies and other recipes. The aim is to make healthy eating practical and achievable beyond the retreat.
