ShinShiva Ayurvedic Resort is an Ayurvedic wellness retreat that embodies the very best of what the Indian system of medicine has to offer.

Perched atop a promontory, surrounded by swaying palms, and commanding a breathtakingly panoramic view of the Arabian Sea, ShinShiva is located near the Chowara beach, close to the famed Kovalam beach and about 30 kms from Trivandrum airport.

About Dr.V.Franklin:

Dr.V.Franklin, founder of ShinShiva hails from a family with 400-year old tradition in Ayurvedic Treatment. Aside from this hereditary background, Dr.Franklin is an academically qualified physician, holding a bachelors degree from the University of Kerala and Post Graduate Diploma in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from the Bombay University.

He started an Ayurvedic treatment centre for tourists at the Neptune Hotel, Kovalam in 1988 and was the first to initiate the concept of Ayurvedic Tourism. In 2003 he founded Dr.Franklin's Shinshiva Ayurvedashram, which is the Mecca for discerning health seekers world wide. Dr.Franklin travels abroad every year with a team of Professional Masseurs providing treatments in countries like Chile , Georgia and Germany, and in places like Lugarno (Switzerland ), Milan, Florence and Turin (Italy) and Warsaw (Poland ) to popularize Ayurveda as a highly effective alternative method of treatment. 

In recognition of his services he was awarded the Tourism Man of the Year Award in 1999, and the Kerala Sahridayavedi Award in 2005 for the Best Ayurveda Doctor in Tourism.

Dr. Franklins Shinshiva Ayurvedashram was awarded the GREEN LEAF Classification by Tourism Department, Govt. of Kerala.
