Psoriasis is a common skin condition which generally affects people between 15-35 years of age. It is non-contagious but chronic skin disease in which there is rapid growth of new skin cells, which generally takes time. Thus, thick patches of red, dry and itchy skin appear because of accumulation of dead skin cells. These dry patches can develop around elbows, knees or scalp and in most cases go unnoticed. However, in some cases, the condition can be severe in which a large part of the body is affected. Causes: The exact causes of the disease are still unknown. However, experts believe that genetic conditions and immune system can contribute to the disease in some way. In psoriasis, healthy skin cells are attacked by the body’s T-cells, thus triggering rapid production of new skin cells. Causes believed to influence the disease are as follows: - Stress - Obesity - Smoking - Climate - Low immunity - Use of certain medication There is no complete cure for the disease. However, preventive care and treatment can help the patient get relief from inflammation and skin irritation. Further Complications: Psoriasis increases the risk for other diseases, including psoriatic arthritis, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, Parkinson’s disease and kidney disease. Ayurveda’s Role: Ayurvedic treatment for the disease focuses on building and rectifying the immune system and reducing the lesions for immediate relief. Shathayu Ayurveda Retreat is located near Nelamangala, around 60 minutes from central Bengaluru via NH-48. The retreat is accessible by private car, taxi or app-based cab services.- The complete rate/fee of your treatment will be provided only after a health evaluation is done by qualified physicians.
- Laboratory reports, medicines, supplements, additional or optional therapies will be charged extra Common Yoga (twice a day yogasanas, breathing exercises, meditation, and relaxation), recreational & swimming pool facilities are complimentary.
- Accommodation rates are inclusive of vegetarian cuisine, herbal drinks, and dietary advice Accompanying person can select individual treatment Extra bed (maximum 3 people in a room)
- Airport transfers are available.
- Taxes and service charges will be extra.
- Indian rates are applicable for Indian national permanent residents.
· If cancellation is made within 30 days of arrival, 25% of amount is chargeable.
· If cancellation is made within 15 days of arrival, 50% of amount is chargeable.
· If cancellation is made within 7 days of arrival, 100% of amount is chargeable.
