About the Center

Poovar Ayurveda Village operates an exclusive Ayurvedic treatment and rejuvenation centre within the Poovar Island Resort setting. Its approach focuses on supporting physical, mental and spiritual well-being through Ayurveda and lifestyle practices inspired by the principles of nature. The centre has 13 treatment rooms, including six rooms designed for traditional Kerala Ayurvedic treatments and three rooms equipped with steaming facilities. The team includes two full-time doctors, 12 female therapists and eight male therapists.

Poovar Island Resort is a venture of Floatels India Pvt. Ltd., established in 1999 by Mr. Kabeer Khader, an NRI entrepreneur based in Dubai, and Mr. M. R. Narayanan, a technocrat and industrialist. The resort was developed across 25 acres of lush coconut groves at Poovar, creating a distinctive backwater retreat with land-based accommodation and floating villas.

Poovar Ayurveda Village is NABH accredited for Panchakarma treatment. The centre also has a medicinal Herbarium, supporting its focus on traditional Ayurvedic herbs and natural ingredients.

The Ayurvedic experience is complemented by a specialized restaurant serving Ayurveda cuisine, as well as yoga and meditation programmes. Daily yoga sessions are conducted, with private classes available by prior arrangement.
