Body Purification or Shodhana Chikitsa is a process of removing the toxins and purifying the whole body to attain proper balance of Vata, Pita and Kapha based on the Panchakarma and Swethakarma Treatment. The 21-day package process includes Body massage, Snehapanam, Nasyam, Virachanam(Medicated purgative), Snehavasthi, Dhara , Pizhichil, Njavarakizhi, Karnapooranam, Tharpanam, Sirovasthi, Steam Bath, and internal herbal medicines. The body is first made ready for the purification process by two main methods: Snehana Karma (Oil Therapy) - Therapy using oil and ghee preparations Swedana Karma (Sudation Therapy) - Making the body sweat using Njavarakizhi, Pizhichil, Elakizhi, steam bath etc. After that the purification process is carried out by means of Panchakarma. The Ayurveda package includes the following services: · Accommodation as per the category of room booking, A/C charges are included in package. · Daily Ayurveda Rejuvenation/Body Purification treatments · Ayurveda vegetarian full board meal · Initial, daily and final consultation by the doctor · Free medicines during the treatment period · Composition of an individual Ayurveda diet menu · All applicable taxes The following services are provided complimentary along with package booking : · Daily one session of Yoga and Mediation · Airport transfer from Thiruvananthapuram (applicable for bookings of 07 nights and more) · German, Italian, French and Russian interpreters

Manaltheeram Ayurveda Beach Village is located on a peaceful hillock above Chowara Beach, approximately 9 km south of Kovalam in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Surrounded by tropical greenery and close to the Arabian Sea, the resort offers a quiet setting for physician-led Ayurvedic treatments, Panchakarma, yoga and restorative stays.

How to reach

Airways Connectivity

The nearest airport is Thiruvananthapuram International Airport (TRV), approximately 21 km from Manaltheeram Ayurveda Beach Village and around 30 minutes by road, depending on traffic. Airport transfers can be arranged for a comfortable arrival and departure. Transfers are complimentary for guests staying 7 nights or more, as per the applicable package conditions.

Railway Connectivity

The nearest major railway station is Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station, approximately 25 km from the resort. The station is well connected to major cities and destinations across India. Transfers between the railway station and Manaltheeram Ayurveda Beach Village can be arranged upon request.

Roadway Connectivity

Manaltheeram Ayurveda Beach Village is located near Chowara Beach, approximately 9 km south of Kovalam, and is well connected by road to Thiruvananthapuram and surrounding destinations. The resort can be reached by taxi, private car or local transport. Transfers can also be arranged upon request.

  • Reservations are confirmed against advance payment.
  • Package inclusions and treatments are subject to the programme booked and the Ayurvedic physician’s assessment.
  • Ayurvedic treatments and medicines are prescribed according to the guest’s individual health condition and body constitution.
  • Airport transfers from Thiruvananthapuram International Airport are complimentary for stays of 7 nights or more, subject to the applicable package conditions.
  • Mandatory supplement charges apply on 24th and 31st December.
  • International airfare, visa fees, travel insurance, optional sightseeing and excursions, and additional treatments not prescribed within the package are excluded unless specifically stated otherwise.
  • Insurance reimbursement is subject to the terms, eligibility and approval of the guest’s individual insurance provider.

    • We understand plans can change. If you need to cancel a booking, please note the following before requesting a refund:

    •⁠  ⁠Any fees charged by the payment gateway or incurred during currency conversion at the time of your original payment will be deducted from your refund.

    •⁠  ⁠If your cancellation request is made more than 60 days after your payment date, applicable GST will be deducted from the refunded amount. 

    •⁠  ⁠Any taxes remitted on your behalf at the time of booking cannot be recovered and will be deducted from your refund.
