Association for Yoga and Meditation (AYM) Yoga School in Rishikesh is a non-profit organization registered with Government of India and led by Spiritual Yoga Master, Yogi Chetan Mahesh. The center was founded by yoga teachers and yoga lovers in 2005, with a vision to spread happiness and health through traditional and ancient wisdom of yoga in the world.
The school focuses on best yoga practices with expert yoga teachers without changing the traditional values of yoga. The courses focus on asana alignment, the art of assisting in postures, and human anatomy and physiology explained in connection with yoga techniques, with a goal to help yogis develop yoga techniques that will deepen their own practice, provide a life changing experience, as well as prepare them to teach.
These programs meets the international Yoga standards set by the Yoga Alliance for 200 hour, 300 hour, and 500 hour yoga certification and offer a variety of yoga styles such as Hatha, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Iyengar, Sivananda, Power, Flow, Hatha Vinyasa, Restorative, Yoga Therapy, and much more.

Yogi Chetan Mahesh: Yogi Chetan Maheshji was born in a Vedic family where chanting Vedic mantras and practicing Yoga was done daily. Greatly influence by his father and brother who introduced him Yoga, he later learnt his asanas under Yogi Balmukundji, Pranayama under Swami Vijayanadaji and Yogic philosophy from Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj, Swami Dayanandaji and Oshoji and Samadhi with Swami Chinmayanandaji and Piolet Babaji. He was the Yoga Sports champion for five years in college and also won all-India inter-university Yoga championship. In 2000 he became the part of National Institute for Yoga and did one-year diploma in Yoga along with Yoga therapy and was deputed to Germany by Government of India to teach yoga there. Yogi Chetan also finished his Master of Science degree in Yoga in 2003 and engaged in yoga teachers training in various countries including China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Malaysia. He later moved to the Himalayas with his spiritual teacher Swami Tanmayananda and did spiritual practice to awaken the Kundalini power and learned thousands of breathing and meditation techniques.
Yogi Chetan is also the founder secretary of Association for Yoga and Meditation, India and imparting yoga teachers training under this organization has trained 10,000 yoga teachers up to now.
Chetanya Ji: Chetanyaji has been practicing Yoga for over 15 years and is an expert in teaching different styles of yoga including Pre-natal Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Meditation and Pranayama. Her classes are focused on linking breath with movement in asana to activate energy, slimming and calm the mind and enjoy the art of connection with meditation. Chetany holds a Master’s degree in Yoga from Uttarakhand Sanskrit University, Diploma in Yoga and is registered with IndianYoga Alliance USA at the E-RYT 500 level.
Yogini Manisha: Yogini Manisha has been teaching at AYM Yoga School since 2010. Her educational background includes a Diploma in Yoga, a Degree in Arts and the guidance of many teachers including K. Pattabhi Jois of the Ashtanga Vinyasa tradition, Iyengar Yoga from Yogi Chetan Mahesh and Yogini Usha Devi. Yogini Manisha is a multi-style yoga teacher and teaches Hatha, Ashtanga Vinyasa primary and secondary series, Kundalini Yoga, Sivananda Yoga flow and much more. She focuses most of her teaching of Vinyasa Yoga on synchronization of breath and movement mixed with creativity and the importance of activation of subtle energies.
Yogi Sachin: Sachin is passionate about teaching yoga and sharing his knowledge of Ashtanga Vinyasa. He teaches each and every posture using alignment cues similar to that of Iyengar Yoga thus creating a safe, nurturing environment for learning and growth. His teaching style is very precise, as he believes proper alignment is the key to mastering this challenging practice without enduring injury. Sachin also teaches Iyengar-based Hatha classes at AYM. He recently had the honor of studying directly under two senior certified Iyengar teachers; one in south India and the other in north India. His teachings allow a new level of depth where he breaks down a yoga posture into the finite elements and then reconstruct it again from a strong, solid foundation. Sachin enjoys making the challenging Ashtanga Vinyasa series accessible to everybody and he offers this to his students through use of various props and posture variations. He holds Bachelors’ degree from Delhi University and is undergoing Bachelor of Arts degree in Yoga and Naturopathy from the Uttrakhand University.
