Amuna's philosophy is rooted in the traditional Sri Lankan way of life, with an emphasis on harmony between nature, body and mind. The retreat's architecture and landscaping have been consciously designed to preserve the natural surroundings and create a sense of simplicity and tranquility. The retreat combines accommodation, Ayurveda treatment facilities, dining and wellness spaces within a verdant setting. Its Ayurveda facilities include 10 treatment rooms, two dedicated Shirodhara rooms, two steam rooms and four spaces for herbal baths.

All Wellness experiences incorporate yoga, meditation, breath-work, mindful movement, nourishing food and rejuvenating therapies, allowing guests to experience the benefits of a retreat without necessarily undertaking an intensive Ayurvedic treatment programme.
