Psoriasis is a skin condition that causes rapid skin cell reproduction resulting in red, dry patches of thickened skin. According to Ayurveda, Psoriasis appears due to imbalance of two doshas - Vata and Kapha, Vata and Kapha doshas manifest in the skin and cause accumulation of toxins that accumulate in deep tissues leading to Psoriasis. Therapies like Panchakarma which help in purification of blood and tissues are effective in treating Psoriasis. This therapy also helps in complete detoxification of the body and successful elimination of harmful toxins from the body fluids is advised.
