Beautifully located on the banks of Bhagirathi river, this ashram is 4 kilometers before hustle bustle and traffic jams of Uttarkashi town. This location have 18 luxury rooms that are river facing and have all modern amenities. All the rooms have queen size beds, air-conditioning, LCD TV, hot geysers in the toilets.

 

 

This ashram have access to the Bhagirathi river which is highlight of this location and practicing yoga at the bank of river it self is so divine and mystic experience for the life time.

Shiva temple in the premises is another highlight of this ashram.

“Pooja” and group “Yagya” at Shiva temple is our traditional way to start a day followed by indoor and several out door Ashanas practice and training session.

We also have a massage room and Do-Sirodhara, Ayurvedic massage and steam bath (in winters) and can be availed on request

Situated at an elevation of 1,220 meters above sea level, Barkot ashram is one of the popular destinations situated in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, India. The Barkot city is surrounded on the north by the Dehradun district, on the northeast by Tibet, on the east by Chamoli, on the southeast by the Rudraprayag district and on the south by Tehri Garhwal district.

 

 

The ashram with its 16 luxury camps ensures optimum comfort for the yogi and yoga practice. Yamuna flowing as its main course, Ganga water emerging out of the ganga kund (cold water spring) merges with Yamuna and a stream of Kedar Ganga confluences with the Yamuna. (the source of kedar ganga is said to be from where river Saraswati emerges).

Any Indian or foreigner who has interest in learning ancient traditional yoga and its applied science, with the ability to follow the instructions and lectures in English. The applicant's age should be between 18 to 60 years age at the time of admission. The applicant should be in a good physical condition because we have a very busy schedule with at least 7 to 9 hours daily.

Student once register can attend any Teacher Training Program.
